First - our apologies!
We know you are all accustomed to seeing concert information way in advance of the
next wonderful concert, but this time you've only got a few weeks of notice. To make a
very long story short, our hosting company turned us over to a different management
company and since then it's been, well, chaotic.
If you are reading this, we've been partially successful at getting the site back up. Yay!
No worries, we'll keep working on it until it's right!
Join Windsong for Ebb & Flow, Sunday, January 31, at 4:00pm at Lakewood Presbyterian
Church, 14502 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood. With songs of challenge and change, the
program affirms both our progress in creating a just society and how far we still have to
Included are Holly Near’s “Change of Heart” and “The Doors You Opened” by Eric
Lane Barnes. Selections sung in Zulu and in Arabic lend an international flavor,
along with Celtic melodies and pieces by Australian composer Sheena Phillips.
Rooted closer to home are “Never Sit Down,” an updated take on the spiritual,
“Sit Down, Sister,” and a stirring arrangement of “How Can I Keep From Singing,” plus
settings of “This We Know,” Chief Seattle’s eloquent statement on interdependence, and
William Penn’s simple admonition to “Let Peace Prevail.”
Premiering is Jan C. Snow's “Women Carry The Water,” a work occasioned by
Sustainable Cleveland’s Year of Clean Water. The concert will be conducted by Acting
Artistic Director Heather Russell.
Tickets, $13 in advance, and $15 at the door, $13 for seniors, are available from
